Reflections on 2019

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening; depending on where you are. Frankly I don’t know what day it is but as my mum is at work I’ve narrowed it down to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Christmas is the best, isn’t it? We had a really lovely, relaxed Christmas in our household this year. I was totally blessed with some lovely presents from my family, and we’ve spent days eating our way through a seemingly endless supply of chocolate and snacks. I’ve done nothing but watch TV for the past few days, but I thought I would take advantage of the quiet (with my mum and work and brother still asleep) to write my annual reflections post.

I won’t lie, it’s been another difficult year. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression which affected me at work a lot. However, the end of this year took a turn for the better. I decided to go back to university to study luxury marketing as a Master’s degree. It was a difficult decision to leave my job of three years, but I believe it’s working out well. I know he’ll never see this, but I just wanted to thank my father for his support and agreeing to help me through Uni a second time. I really, really appreciate it and I think its really helping being back in a university setting. I’m really enjoying the course and have made some great new friends. Of course, I’ve been stressed about getting my assignments done, but the stress has felt manageable this time.

I’ve skipped to the end of the year, because actually, not that much of note happened this year. One exciting event was a trip to Disneyland Paris back in February, which was utterly fantastic. I wish I could go back! I need to start saving as soon as I graduate to go to Disney World in the States. Mum and I also went to London for a few days in the summer which was super fun. Both trips were vlogged, you can watch them on my YouTube channel.

I’m going to leave this here, as I can hear my brother beginning to stir and I’m getting hungry for lunch. For those who continue to read this blog, allow me to thank you for your continued support. I’m posting more frequently on Instagram, so follow me over there if you’re not already!

Signing off now for 2019, here’s to a better 2020!
