Popular Halloween Costumes for 2018

It’s only 8 days until Halloween (where did October go?) and if you, like me, are yet to sort your costume, time is running out fast. Luckily for you, I’ve compiled a list of costumes which will be popular this Halloween. Let’s get started!

Spiderman Homecoming Morphsuit; £35.99

Based on a new report published by Google, expect to see the following characters trick or treating:

  • Fortnite
  • Spider man
  • Harley Quinn
  • Wonder Woman

Adult Black Knight Fortnite Costume; £45.99

Harley Quinn Wig; £16.99

The generic costumes Google suggests we’ll be seeing include unicorns, witches, dinosaurs (yes, dinosaurs), pirates, rabbits and clowns.

Inflatable Dinosaur Costume; £48.98

Ride on Unicorn Costume; £25.99

Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean

Expect to see families dressed up as the Incredibles, with the fun Aunt tagging along in Edna Mode garb proclaiming ‘It’s fashion, darling’.

Mr Incredible Costume; £37.50

Get your 80s on and be a Dancing Queen – the new Mamma Mia film gives loads of ideas from general costumes to an iconic appearance from Cher to recreate.

The new Halloween film is out (and is terrifying I might add) so it’s safe to assume we’ll see a parade of Michael Myers’ terrorising the neighbourhoods. One of the baristas at my local Starbucks had his new Halloween tattoo on show, though I would recommend a less permanent look for Halloween itself.

Halloween Michael Myers Latex Mask; £15.99

Its the fortieth anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas – can you believe it – and Disney recently launched a collection to celebrate. This mask is available at Disney stores – I’ve given it to Chester already as a birthday present.

Nightmare Before Christmas Mask; £8.25 – on sale!

It’s been a big year for royalists – with two royal weddings and a royal baby, with another on the way. Use this chance to put on your fanciest gown, or do it like Cara Delevingne and take your tux out for a ride.

Are there any costumes I’ve not mentioned that you think will be popular this year? What are you dressing up as this season? Let me know in the comments below.
